Jenny believes that "the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem" (Michael White & David Epston) — a belief that has guided her counselling work since 2017. She has been registered with the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA) since 2019 and became a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)-registered counsellor in May 2022. Jenny began her practice at the Christian New Life Association, providing over 450 hours of support to adult men in residential rehabilitation for substance use. She has also worked with Soul Glad as a contracted counsellor, offering mental health and wellbeing support to adults of all ages through both volunteer and paid online services.

Narrative Therapy is a recognised, evidence-based intervention that helps individuals externalise problems and create more empowering personal narratives. Jenny uses this approach to help people uncover alternative perspectives on their struggles and reconnect with what matters most to them. As part of her commitment to community-based mental health, she co-founded a therapeutic support group for individuals living with diabetes. This group supports participants in re-authoring the story of their illness, moving away from problem-saturated narratives, and cultivating more compassionate relationships with themselves and their health.

She remains dedicated to sharing and growing Narrative Practice. Jenny regularly facilitates introductory trainings and monthly seminars, creating spaces of support, curiosity, and non-judgment—especially during times of collective uncertainty. In 2023, she joined Hong Kong Well UK as a contracted counsellor, working primarily with children in individual sessions and leading Narrative-based parent support groups. She continues to walk alongside adolescents and adults in various settings, supporting them in telling stories of strength, meaning, and possibility.
